Today was my "long" run day which is a pretty short 8 miler.. but I am cool with my little miles. I broke my second metatarsal off from my foot after dropping a piano on it in October and I am building back up.
It was SO hard to get going today. I was so tired I just wanted to sleep. When I finally started running it began to rain and my left hip started acting up - why do old injuries hurt more in rainy weather? - that is so weird. Eventually I ended up walking for most of it because of my hip. Then I got a little lost when I followed an animal trail thinking it was a human trail but I eventually found my way out. :)
Ended up only doing 7 miles... even though it sucked a little I got some pretty photographs.
Gorgeous photos!! That is crazy that the old injuries come back when it rains. Great run today even though you wanted to sleep:)
ReplyDeleteI got my foam roller at a runners store....I think bb&b would have it too! I totally recommend it...it might help your hip out big time!
I can't believe you dropped a piano on your foot in October and are already running. Great job. Don't be too hard on yourself, I wouldn't say 7 miles is "little miles," almost everyone I know can't run a block : )
ReplyDeleteLoved your favorites list!! P.S. Where is your favorite place to go snowboarding?
ReplyDeleteI say 7 is a great number! Runners are so hard on themselves...others may still be sitting on the couch whining about how they were injuried. You are out there doing 7 SEVEN miles. Nice job!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos!
Thanks everyone! :) :) I agree that at least I am out there getting some miles!! All of you are very inspirational for me!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite place to go snowboarding in California is Mammoth Mountain and in Utah is Brighton! :D Do you ski or board Lauren?
